In the summer months many find the best activity is cooling off in the pool!

As well as coastal trips - both the bustling south (40 minutes) and surfing beaches of the west (50 minutes) are excellent day trips.

Or you may fancy a lazy day in Adega Velha having a massage, shiatsu or reiki treatments. Yoga and meditation sessions can also be arranged. All from qualified local therapists.

For the more active there are many footpaths to discover in the surrounding hills and, when the sun is not too high, try out our mountain bikes.

Arrangements to taste and buy the local firewater called Medronho can also be made at a local Quinta.

Horse riding is available nearby.
