THINGS TO DO

In the summer months many find the best activity is cooling off in the pool!

Both the bustling south beaches (40 minutes) and the quieter surfing beaches of the west (see photo below -50 minutes) are excellent day trips.

For the active there are many footpaths to discover in the surrounding hills and, when the sun is not too high, try out our mountain bikes.

We produce our own wine which you are invited to taste. Arrangements to taste and buy the local firewater, called Medronho, can be made at a local Quinta.

There is fishing for bass in local reservoirs and hang gliding at a nearby site in the foothills of the Monchique Serras. Road cycling is a very popular sport in the area with routes up in to the Monchique 'serras' with fantastic views.
